This month, HCT is incredibly proud to support the American Cancer Society, as a part of our decade long ‘Caring for our Community’ program to give back to charities across the country.
Emily Dobbins, HCT’s Manager of Administration selected this charity for the month of July. She spoke to us about her own family’s journey and how this organization became so important to her.
“Cancer….it’s a scary word that no person or family wants to hear. I have had to hear the words “I have cancer” from multiple family members. Thankfully all of those family members are currently NED (no evidence of disease) and are thriving. The American Cancer Society was there for information, guidance, support and so much more during these journeys. They made an impact that catapulted my family to get involved with the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. It’s our way of giving back, continuing the fight to finding a cure and honoring those that are no longer with us.”
Diane Cuellar, Senior Director of Client Services and Administration agrees,
“I support the American Cancer Society because they provide resources to cancer patients across the nation. With cancer affecting over 1.5 million newly diagnosed patients each year, it is important to support an organization that provides resources while promoting education and advocacy.”
HCT’s CEO Jacob Kupietzky adds:
“The American Cancer Society is a worldwide leader in cancer research, support, advocacy and prevention. We are so proud to support ACS in the work they do for our friends, families and colleagues.”
